St. Margaret School

Moose Jaw Coats for Kids With a Twist

Students from our elementary schools in Moose Jaw participated in this project. We met in the basement of St. Joe’s church – and separated the coats into boxes containing both boy’s and girl’s coats. The students put mitts, a scarf, and a toque inside each coat. The mitts, etc. were received as donations – this was organized through the St. Joe’s parish and the Holy Trinity school system by the students.

All in all, this was a very good project this year. The students really participated in the virtue of charity and felt how rewarding it is to ‘give to others’. They also asked where the coats came from, which, of course, points right back to the Knights of Columbus.

The picture entitled ‘St. Margaret’ includes students from other elementary schools also. These were the students who assisted us yesterday.
