Presentation to Soup Kitchen

A special presentation was recently made to the Humboldt Soup Kitchen by Grand Knight Vince Leonard of Council 1886 Humboldt, accompanied by Brad Lefebvre, Past Secretary of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation. This meaningful gesture reflects the Knights of Columbus’ ongoing commitment to support local initiatives that provide essential services to those in need. The donation will assist the Humboldt Soup Kitchen in continuing its vital work of offering warm meals and a welcoming environment to individuals and families facing food insecurity in the community. Donation to Ministerial Food Bank

Shellbrook, SK — May 23, 2025 — On behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, Grand Knight Al Dion of Council 9761 proudly presents a total of $3,000.00 to the Shellbrook and District Ministerial Food Bank.

These donations were gratefully accepted by Managing Director Linda Lundy, who expressed sincere appreciation for the generous contribution. “These funds will be well spent on purchasing essential food items for individuals and families in need throughout Shellbrook and the surrounding area,” said Lundy. This initiative reflects the Knights of Columbus’ ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and addressing food insecurity through charitable action.

Melville Food Bank Presentation

On behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, Grand Knight Mark Molnar of Melville Council #5201 presented a cheque for $3,000 to the Melville and District Food Bank. Acting Managing Director Donna Mucha gratefully accepted the donation, noting that the funds will be used to purchase essential food items for individuals and families in need throughout the community and the surrounding area.

Sask K of C Annual Grant Applications – DEADLINE FEBRUARY 15, 2025
The Sask K of C Charitable Foundation has 2 options for applying for financial assistance under the Grants and Bursaries Programs.

Capital Fund Grant.
If your Council is aware of any organization carrying on special needs programs in your area (Youth, Disabled, Homeless, Seniors, etc..) please take the time to check in on them and see if they could use some financial assistance. Click here for more details.

James and Lawrence Meier Grant
This Grant funds those feeding the hungry and providing Food for Families. Some Councils, as well as many community organizations across our Province, have been doing a fantastic job and we would love to partner by providing additional funding. Click here for more details.
