James & Lawrence Meier Food for Families Fund

On behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation and Grand Knight Bob Bertolo of Rosetown Council #5238, Financial Secretary Brother Ron Gartner proudly presents a cheque for $3,000.00 to the Rosetown & District Food Bank.

We trust that this contribution will provide meaningful financial support in delivering nourishment to those in need within our community. This initiative reflects the Knights of Columbus’ ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and addressing food insecurity through charitable action.

This contribution was made possible through the James and Lawrence Meier Food For Families Fund, which is dedicated to supporting food banks across Saskatchewan in their efforts to combat food insecurity.

The Regina Work Preparation Centre (Work Prep) is a non-profit, charitable, community-based organization located in Regina, Saskatchewan. It specializes in helping individuals find and maintain employment. With over 50 years of service, Work Prep has supported more than 20,000 clients from diverse backgrounds and with varying employment needs

Services Offered:

• Job search support and career counselling
• Resume and cover letter assistance
• Virtual Reality (VR) career exploration and interview training
• Mental health and wellness resources
• Individualized employment planning

Work Prep is known for its inclusive and client-centred approach, recognizing that there is no “typical” client. They tailor their services to meet the unique needs of each individual, whether they are new to the workforce, transitioning into a new career, or facing employment barriers.

Below is a cheque handover of $2000 for the Work Prep Center.

Grand Knight Dave Alm proudly presents a generous donation of $1,500 on behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation to the Outlook Food Bank. A further $1,500 will be presented to Davidson Inter-Church Association for the food hamper program.

Shellbrook, SK — May 23, 2025 — On behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, Grand Knight Al Dion of Council 9761 proudly presents a total of $3,000.00 to the Shellbrook and District Ministerial Food Bank.

These donations were gratefully accepted by Managing Director Linda Lundy, who expressed sincere appreciation for the generous contribution. “These funds will be well spent on purchasing essential food items for individuals and families in need throughout Shellbrook and the surrounding area,” said Lundy.
