On behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, District Deputy Rejean Houle proudly presents a cheque to Major Laurie Reilly, Pastor of The Salvation Army in Yorkton, in support of the Yorkton Food Bank.

Operated by The Salvation Army, the Yorkton Food Bank serves as a vital resource for individuals and families facing food insecurity in Yorkton and the surrounding communities. Located at 78 South Front Street, the food bank provides essential groceries and household necessities, while also offering compassionate support services aimed at helping clients rebuild their lives.

Sask KofC Charitable Foundation donates to the Melfort Food Bank

On behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, Financial Secretary Les Strinholm, Grand Knight Art Legatt, and Past Grand Knight Ron Holaday had the honour of presenting a donation cheque to Ellen Zuck, Manager of the Melfort & Area Food Bank. The Melfort & Area Food Bank, a proud member of Food Banks Canada, operates as an emergency food resource for residents of Melfort and the surrounding area, providing essential support to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Sask KofC Charitable Foundation donates to the Nipawin Food Bank

On behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, Council 7315 of Nipawin proudly presented a $3,000 donation to the Nipawin Salvation Army Food Bank earlier this morning. Grand Knight Ron Saretzky made the presentation to Sheri Fengstad, Community Services Coordinator for the Nipawin Salvation Army.

The Nipawin Salvation Army Food Bank, located at 714 8th Street West, is a vital community resource and a proud member of Food Banks Canada. It provides emergency food assistance to individuals and families in need throughout the Nipawin area, operating with a mission to combat hunger and support vulnerable populations.

Ms. Fengstad expressed deep gratitude for the contribution, noting that the donation arrived at a critical time, as their supply of dry food products was significantly depleted.

Sincere thanks to the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation and the Nipawin Knights of Columbus for their generous support of this essential community service.

Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation donates $3000 to Moosomin Food Share

On behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, Wayne Bunz, Grand Knight of Father David Gilles Council #5858 in Moosomin, presented a cheque to Samantha Campbell of the Moosomin Food Share. In expressing her gratitude, Ms. Campbell stated, “Donations such as this are immensely valuable. At present, we spend between $3,000 and $5,000 per month on groceries alone. This contribution will be instrumental in supporting our food purchasing efforts.”

Donations to the Regina Food Bank

On behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, Wayne Matt, Treasurer of Archbishop O’Neill Council #8896 in Regina, presented a $3,000 cheque to Andrea Soby, Officer Manager of the Regina Food Bank.

This contribution was made possible through the James and Lawrence Meier Food For Families Fund, which is dedicated to supporting food banks across Saskatchewan in their efforts to combat food insecurity.

Food insecurity remains a critical health issue in Regina, affecting over 25,000 people daily. The Regina Food Bank has evolved since 1982 from offering short-term relief to becoming an essential partner in combating hunger in our community. In 2023-2024, we served 19,974 unique individuals – a 21.7% increase from the previous year – distributing 84,988 hampers and over 3.2 million pounds of healthy, quality food.


Each year Archbishop O’Neill Council # 8896 invites parishioners to contribute to their 40 Cans for Lent initiative.

This year, over 320 lbs of non-perishable food items were collected. As well, the Council made a donation of $200 to the Food Bank.
