    • All orders to go to Gerry Gieni in Moose Jaw & Shawn Scherr in Saskatoon.
    • Anticipate sales of approximately 7000 coats, which is similar in volume to what was given out last year.
    • We encourage all Councils to participate.
    • More information and purchase applications are available on our website
  2. Northern Fire Relief
    • Currently received over $4,000.00 in donations
    • Once matched by the Sask K of C charitable Foundation, the amount will reach approximately $10,000.00
    • Have asked the Supreme Council to match our funds. They will contribute, but have not indicated an amount to this point in time.
    • The Archdiocese of Keewatin LePas have Parishes in need of help. We will be working together with them in the distribution of the funds.
  3. 2026 Cash Calendars
    • 4,350 calendars have been taken by Councils.
    • Only 650 calendars remain till all are sold out for the year.
    • 38 Councils have met their target. They can now allocate $25.00 for every calendar they sell to a Charity of their choice.  This can include the Parish since they are a registered charity, but cannot be the Knight of Columbus Council since they are not a registered Charity.
    • We have had a very broad distribution of winners from the weekly draws on the 2025 K of C Foundation cash calendars.
The list of winners can be found on our website www.saskkofc.foundation.
  4. Sask K of C Charitable Foundation Bursaries
    • Students who are entering or returning to post-secondary education should consider applying for a $1,000.00 Bursary if registered in the following institutions:
      • St. Thomas More Saskatoon – 3 x $1,000.00
      • St. Peter’s College Muenster – 3 x $1,000.00

      • St. Therese Bruno 1 x $1.000.00
    • We have not had applicants in all colleges, so we strongly recommend that students complete the application forms found on the Registration websites for each Campus.
    • Successful applicants must be a Knight, child or grandchild of a member of the Knights of Columbus in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Forest Fire Relief Project – Update September 17 2025

We have now received $4,120.00 in Fire Relief donations.

Thermometer-09-18-2025
Thermometer-09-18-2025

To: All State Board Members, District Deputies, Grand Knights, Agency Department, and K of C Membership of Saskatchewan.

We have received a request from the Councils asking that we consider developing a process for raising funds to assist those affected by the fires in the north. Sask K of C Charitable Foundation is going to take the lead in a Forest Fire Relief project for Saskatchewan Residents

We will immediately begin accepting donations earmarked for fire relief. We will pool the money to make one donation on behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus. The Sask K of C Charitable Foundation will match the first $ 5,000.00 received from Councils and their members. Donations will be accepted through the Foundation office until September 30, 2025.

The decision on how we may distribute has not been finalized. We will begin by approaching the Catholic Diocesan offices that may have parishes affected to see if there is a need. Another option is to forward the funds to the Red Cross so it may be matched by the Canadian government.

Shawn Scherr will be the Project Chair for this initiative. If you have any questions or suggestions, he can be reached by phone at 306 221 1056 or by email at scherr@saskkofc.foundation. We may get matching donations from Supreme Council as well.

Cheques should be made payable to the Sask K of C Charitable Foundation. Payments can also be made by e-transfer to payments@saskkofc.foundation or by credit card. Mark all payments “Forest Relief Fund.”
