The list of winners can be found on our website www.saskkofc.foundation.

The 2025-2026 Coats For Kids Program

Coats for Kids Campaign is Back!

Worthy Grand Knights, Financial Secretaries, and Brother Knights,

We’re excited to announce that this year’s Coats for Kids Campaign is ready to begin! Although we’re starting a little later than usual, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to secure a commitment from Supreme on matching purchases—and now everything is in place.

Thanks to a significant supporting Grant from the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council, we’ve been able to hold the cost per box at just $200.00. This allows us to continue our large-scale effort to provide warm coats to children in need during the cold winter months.

Here’s how it will work:

  • Centralized Ordering: Through the combined efforts of our State Board and the Sask Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, all coats will be ordered at once.
  • Convenient Pickup: At least four locations across Saskatchewan will serve as distribution points, allowing you to pick up your order at the location closest to you.
  • Simple Process: Complete the attached order form and send it to Shawn Scherr. He will log your order, assign your distribution point, and notify you when your coats are ready for pickup.

In past years, some councils had a lesser need locally. If that’s the case for your council, we encourage you to donate to the project. These contributions help us respond to urgent requests from schools, organizations, and families across the province. Every year, we receive calls from unexpected places, and it’s a great feeling to be able to say “yes” when a child needs a warm coat.

Together, we’re making a real difference—and your support ensures that no child faces winter without a warm coat.

Let’s make this year’s campaign the best yet!

Thanks, Shawn Scherr

The 2025-2026 Coats for Kids Special Program by the Knights of Columbus in Saskatchewan aims to provide warm winter coats to needy children. This initiative is part of their broader mission to support vulnerable members of society. Since its inception in 2009, the program has distributed over one million coats across North America. The Knights of Columbus encourage local councils to participate and help ensure that no child goes without a coat during winter.

Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation donates to Guadalupe House in Saskatoon

This photograph features Father Clement Arthur, the Pastor of Guadalupe House in Saskatoon, as he receives a generous donation from the Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation. The cheque, for $3,000, was presented by Deacon Nicholas Blom, Financial Secretary of Council #9538, through the James and Lawrence Meier Food For Families Fund.

This contribution will provide essential financial support for the food pantry operated by Guadalupe House, which plays a vital role in addressing food insecurity in the surrounding community. Through its daily outreach, the pantry offers nourishment and dignity to marginalized individuals and families, reflecting the mission of Guadalupe House to serve with compassion and solidarity.
