Coats for Kids

The 2025-2026 Coats For Kids Program Summary

Coats for Kids Campaign Summary

The Coats for Kids Campaign returned this year with the same spirit of generosity and community service that has defined it for more than a decade. As highlighted on the program’s official page, the initiative continues its mission to ensure that no child faces winter without a warm coat—a commitment made possible through the combined efforts of local councils, the Sask K of C Charitable Foundation, and the continued support of the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council. [saskkofc.foundation]

Thanks to centralized ordering and coordinated distribution across Saskatchewan, councils once again stepped up to make a meaningful difference. This year:

  • 33 Councils participated, contributing a total of 133 boxes of coats.
  • 6 First Nations or Tribal Councils joined the effort, surpassing expectations with 401 boxes donated.
  • Altogether, the campaign distributed 534 boxes—a remarkable achievement reflecting both the need and the dedication of communities province‑wide.

As emphasized in this year’s announcement, the cost per box remained steady thanks to a supporting grant from the Supreme Council, helping ensure wide participation and maximizing impact. Councils with fewer local needs were encouraged to donate financially, enabling the program to respond quickly when urgent requests arise from schools, families, and organizations across Saskatchewan. [saskkofc.foundation]

Once again, the Coats for Kids Campaign shows what’s possible when councils unite behind a shared purpose. With every box delivered, children across the province—and across First Nations communities in particular—are heading into the harsh winter months with warmth, comfort, and dignity.

This collective effort truly embodies the Knights’ mission of charity and service. Here’s to another year of making a difference—together.
