The James and Lawrence Meier Food for Families Program is a dedicated initiative of the Sask K of C Charitable Foundation that supports food banks and school programs across Saskatchewan in their efforts to combat food insecurity.
Through this fund, with the help of local councils such as Meadow Lake #5259, the Foundation provides meaningful financial assistance to organizations like Door of Hope.
The Door of Hope is a nonprofit daytime shelter and community space that provides meals, a safe environment, and support services for people facing hardship such as homelessness or unsafe living conditions. It aims to offer both immediate care and long-term help by connecting individuals with resources like housing, recovery programs, and employment opportunities, while fostering dignity and hope.
