Sask KofC Charitable Foundation donates to Weyburn Food Programs

Council 1731 Presents Donations from Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation to Support Local Food Programs

On June 6, 2025, members of Council 1731 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, proudly presented donations on behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation to support vital food programs in the community.

The first presentation was made to the Salvation Army, Weyburn Branch, where a cheque for $2,500 was delivered to assist with their ongoing food initiatives. Pictured left to right are Council 1731 Treasurer Brother Ray Ball, Salvation Army Community Ministries Worker Nicole Strickland, and Council 1731 Grand Knight Richard Wick. This generous contribution will help the Salvation Army continue its mission of providing meals and support to individuals and families in need.

The second donation was presented to St. Michael School in Weyburn. A cheque for $500 was given to support the school’s food program, helping ensure students have access to nutritious meals throughout the school year. These donations, made possible through the James and Lawrence Meier Food For Families Fund of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, reflect the Knights’ enduring commitment to charity and community service.
