Each year, Knights of Columbus Councils across Saskatchewan unite in support of the provincial calendar campaign. This initiative not only raises important funds but also empowers each Council to give back to the causes that matter most within their own communities.
Through this campaign, every calendar sold makes a $10 donation to a Council-approved charity of the buyer’s choice. Even better, once a Council reaches its sales target, that contribution increases to $25 per calendar, creating an even greater impact for local programs and organizations. Thanks to the dedication of Knights and community supporters, these contributions add up quickly and make a meaningful difference across the province.
Celebrating Local Impact
One of the many examples of this year’s generosity comes from the St. Eugene de Mazenod Council 6684 in Luseland, whose sales helped support local food bank services. The Kerrobert Food Bank received a cheque for the proceeds of the Luseland Council’s Cash Calendar sales.
Calvin Ressler, Past Grand Knight and representative of the Kerrobert Food Bank, accepted the cheque from Marvin DeSchryver, Past State Deputy and representative of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation. The funds will be shared between the Luseland Food Bank and the Kerrobert Food Bank, helping both organizations continue serving families in need.
Community partnerships like this highlight what the calendar campaign is all about: Knights strengthening their communities, supporting their neighbours, and living the values of charity and service.
