Cash Calendar Jacket Incentive

Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens Council #8301 in Saskatoon presented a jacket to their Chaplain

We are pleased to announce that Fr. Daniel Louh, having recently returned from his mission work in Africa, has resumed his ministry within our diocese. In recognition of his service and celebration of his return, we were honoured to present him with a Sask K of C Charitable Foundation jacket during our gathering this evening.

This presentation is part of the ongoing initiative supported by the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, which recognizes the dedication of chaplains and councils who contribute to the success of the Cash Calendar program. We are grateful for Fr. Louh’s continued commitment to our community and faith.

Fr. Daniel Louh recently returned from Africa to work again in our diocese, so we were able to present him with his jacket tonight.

Saskatchewan Forest Fire Relief Project

Saskatchewan Forest Fire Relief Project

To: All State Board Members, District Deputies, Grand Knights, Agency Department, and K of C Membership of Saskatchewan.

We have received a request from the Councils asking that we consider developing a process for raising funds to assist those affected by the fires in the north. Sask K of C Charitable Foundation is going to take the lead in a Forest Fire Relief project for Saskatchewan Residents

We will immediately begin accepting donations earmarked for fire relief. We will pool the money to make one donation on behalf of the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus. The Sask K of C Charitable Foundation will match the first $ 5,000.00 received from Councils and their members. Donations will be accepted through the Foundation office until September 30, 2025.

The decision on how we may distribute has not been finalized. We will begin by approaching the Catholic Diocesan offices that may have parishes affected to see if there is a need. Another option is to forward the funds to the Red Cross so it may be matched by the Canadian government.

Shawn Scherr will be the Project Chair for this initiative. If you have any questions or suggestions, he can be reached by phone at 306 221 1056 or by email at scherr@saskkofc.foundation

Cheques should be made payable to the Sask K of C Charitable Foundation. Payments can also be made by e-transfer payments@saskkofc.foundation or by credit card. Mark all payments “Forest Relief Fund”

You may view our website, www.saskkofc.foundation, for more information. Click here to donate now.

We thank you in advance for your generosity.
