It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Past State Deputy Nestor Trach on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.
Nestor, together with his beloved wife Liz, was a cherished friend, mentor, and source of encouragement to countless members of the Knights of Columbus family across Saskatchewan. Through his faith, dedication, and unwavering commitment to charity, unity, and fraternity, he touched the lives of many and helped strengthen our Order throughout the province.
Among his many contributions, Nestor faithfully served as President of the Sask K of C Charitable Foundation from 2000 to 2005, providing thoughtful leadership and helping guide the Foundation’s mission of supporting charitable works and building a legacy of faith-inspired generosity.
Nestor will be remembered not only for his leadership and service, but also for his kindness, friendship, and the genuine care he showed to others. His contributions to the Knights of Columbus and to the wider community will continue to bear fruit for years to come.
As we mourn his passing, we give thanks for his life, his faith, and his many years of devoted service. We ask that you keep Liz and the entire Trach family in your prayers during this difficult time.
May our Lord welcome Nestor into His eternal kingdom, grant him everlasting rest, and let perpetual light shine upon him. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
