The James and Lawrence Meier Food for Families Program is a dedicated initiative of the Sask K of C Charitable Foundation that supports food banks and school programs across Saskatchewan in their efforts to combat food insecurity.
A cheque for $1000 was presented by Henry Kweens, Financial Secretary for Knights of Columbus St. Gerard’s Council #2031 in Yorkton, on behalf of the Sask K of C Charitable Foundation to Delmar Zwirsky – Chief Financial Officer, Christ the Teacher Schools. The money will be used for the Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools Nutrition Program!
The Christ the Teacher Catholic School Division ensures students have access to healthy, nutritious food, recognizing its direct impact on readiness to learn. Operating in partnership with local initiatives like The Soup Haven, the division provides breakfasts, lunches, and snacks while adhering to provincial health guidelines.
