Coats for Kids – November 25

The Sask Knights of Columbus are pleased and proud to partner with the FSIN, Tribal Councils & First Nation Bands throughout the province in providing warm coats to youth in need.  It is our intent to distribute a total of 2400 coats over the next few weeks.  The funding for these coats is shared by the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council, Sask Knights of Columbus. FSIN, Tribal Councils and individual Band Councils.

The opportunity to partner in this worthy initiative is the true demonstration of Charity and Unity as we work together to improve the

quality of life for youth in our communities.

K of C Saskatchewan State Board has partnered with the Sask K of C Charitable Foundation in purchasing 300 boxes of coats for distribution within Saskatchewan.  Our proposal to Supreme was for 100 boxes to be purchased and distributed by Councils throughout the province.  The remaining 200 boxes were to be sold and distributed to the First Nations communities within Saskatchewan.    The following chart outlines the number of boxes that have been asked for by the various groups.

Earlier this week, the 300 boxes were delivered to Saskatoon, Regina and Yorkton.  You will note that there have already been a significant number of boxes requested by Councils and Tribal Councils.  We will continue to share this document on a weekly basis through the GK/FS report until all boxes have been paid for and picked up.
All inquiries and requests are to be forwarded to Shawn Scherr (306) 222 9549 or shawn.scherr@hbc.com.  Although requests are shown on the sheet, they are not considered a commitment until cash is received by the Sask K of C Charitable Foundation.
