A weekly update from the Sask KofC Charitable Foundation

Sask K of C Vocation Endowment

Over the past two years, all Councils within the province participated in the campaign to raise funds for the Sask K of C Vocation Endowment.  Many of the Councils partnered with their parish in this fundraising event in February each year.

This year due to COVID 19, we will not have such a large provincial campaign.  We are still asking Councils and their members to donate.  Continued financial support will assist in developing future leaders within our Church.

You can view the brochure profiling the pictures of the Seminarians from Saskatchewan during this calendar year.    If you wish to forward to your members, you can do so by clicking here.

Our committee has developed a new business card that provides our new website www.saskkofc.foundation for e=transfer and credit card donations.  If you are having a campaign and require cards, contact me and we will try to arrange to have cards sent to your Council.

Coats for Kids

The Sask K of C Charitable Foundation & Sask State Board partnered together with the Saskatoon Tribal Council and a generous sponsor in providing coats for those in need.  Through the leadership of Board member Shawn Scherr, a true demonstration of Charity was achieved.

When making the formal presentation, we were fortunate to have Bishop Mark Hagemoen & Bishop Bryan Bayda join us together with representatives from the White Buffalo Youth Lodge. See the story here.

Bishop Mark made reference to his involvement in his homily on Sunday, February 7th, 2021.  You can hear his words at the 37-minute mark at https://youtu.be/L2OGwhbE6b8?t=2248
